Our Story

Solpress started with one person who knew the problem from the inside.

My partner is a nurse. After every shift, she'd come home with swollen ankles, aching legs, and the kind of foot odour that comes from twelve hours in closed shoes on hard floors. She'd tried standard compression socks and wool socks. Nothing did both jobs well enough, and nothing fit properly around her wider calf without rolling down or cutting in.

So I decided to design something better. 

After testing multiple prototypes, we landed on a sock that combines merino wool for temperature regulation, silver-ion yarn to eliminate odour-causing bacteria at the fibre level, and firm graduated compression that actually stays in place.

Most importantly , and what sets us apart from all of our competitors is that we offer a short length, wide calf options and a 200+ wash guarantee.

 

We wanted our product to be built around the reality of a nurse's shift, not a lab ideal of one.

The feedback from nurses who've worn them has been the kind that makes this whole thing worthwhile. Less swelling. Less fatigue. Fewer complaints at the end of a double.

My partner is a lot happier after a long shift, which in turn makes me happier.
